Serena Williams joked about her curvy body in a funny new Instagram post showing off her baby bump.

The tennis champion shared two photos of herself posing in a black column dress inside a luxurious venue in Italy—a large outdoor space adorned with white flowers and chairs, and hanging vines. The strapless dress perfectly hugged Williams’s body—including her belly and her backside—causing her to write, “CAUTION: Things are not always how they appear. I am Seriously trying to figure out if the baby is in the front or….back. … slide right.”

Williams paired the LBD with chunky pink heeled sandals, silver hoop earrings, and a diamond necklace. She wore her hair slicked back and opted for a dark smoky eye.

Her latest baby-bump snap comes weeks after she revealed she is expecting her second child with husband Alexis Ohanian at the 2023 Met Gala. At the time, she walked the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a fabulous black-and-white custom Gucci gown, and happily cradled her bump for the cameras.

A YouTube video released on the tennis pro’s channel last week showed the moment, before the gala, when Williams and Ohanian told daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian the news that she would become a big sister.

“Oh my god, I’m so excited,” the five-year-old says repeatedly in the clip, hugging her mom.

Williams revealed her wish to have another child in an emotional essay last year announcing her retirement from professional tennis. “I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me. A few years ago I quietly started Serena Ventures, a venture capital firm. Soon after that, I started a family. I want to grow that family,” she wrote at the time.
