She started off with a spot-on Cher look (while her friend Jonathan Cheban dressed as Sonny), next she went as a glam Madonna (while her sister Kourtney dressed as Michael Jackson), and then she channeled Aaliyah from her "Try Again" music video, which got her in hot water with fans of the late R&B singer.

For her fourth look of the holiday, Kardashian dressed as Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla. She emulated the late singer's signature sparkly criss-cross purple jumpsuit with flare hems and even got her pin-straight locks styled with waves and faux bangs to complete the look. The only accessory she carried (and needed) was a wireless mic.

Quintanilla originally wore the look during a performance circa 1995, with a matching bolero jacket layered on top.

However, some people—especially dedicated Selena fans—were critical of the costume choice.
