Kienholz: Five Car Stud

Ed Kienholz is a core figure in the legendary Los Angeles based FERUS gallery. He was a major part of the avant-garde LA arts scene of the 1960s and '70s, working primarily in assemblage and installation art. This exhibition explores the collaborative works of Ed Kienholz and his wife Nancy Reddin Kienholz who met in 1972 and worked together until his death in 1994.

Upon its close at the Menil, the exhibition will travel to the Fondazione Prada for an exhibition opening on October 20, 2016 in Milan.

Alex Da Corte: Free Roses

Da Corte is an incredible young Yale-educated, Philadelphia-based artist. He uses everyday objects to create small still lifes and narratives—and has been both compared to and influenced by notable predecessors such as Mike Kelley, Haim Steinbach and Jeff Koons. His installation at MASS MoCA feels incredibly important and impressive. You can tell why Da Corte is an institutional favorite—he always overdelivers.
